Simple Explanation of Article Marketing and just how you too can use it to profit from

You have a website or maybe you don’t yet, but either way, what is going to happen once that website is live and just waiting for visitors? You do realise that they need to see something when they get there right, but even before that they need to find out your website exists. That is where article marketing comes in.

Article marketing is quite a simple process when broken down into the elements that it contains as a strategy, and it is just that, a strategy for making money online. More than that though, article marketing is an extremely valid and potentially profitable business model.

It consists of a few simple steps, write an article generally consisting of between 400 – 600 words but usually a minimum of 250 up to a maximum of the amount of words you can write on one topic, bearing in mind that people will get bored if forced to read too many words explaining something that could have been explained in alot less.

Once you have the article you simply submit it one or more article directories, such as www.ezinearticles.com . At the footer of the article you include some information about yourself and/or your website including a direct link back to your site that people can follow. The reason for this is the whole purpose behind creating articles for profit, or as said above article marketing.  That the reader will go to your site and view the information that is there.

Of course it is then up to you just what you want that visitor to do when they get there. Do you want them to subscribe to your mailing list? Or how about purchase your new ebook or product you have created? Or do you simply want them to read what you have on your site and know that you are an expert in your field. There are many reasons to bring someone to your website, so article marketing is only part of the overall process from profiting from the internet. I strongly believe that anyone can accomplish this but you really need to decide just what it is you are trying to achieve.

While this is pretty oversimplified, my hope that is that it provides you with an understanding of just why you would do this thing called article marketing. It does work and can provide you with an excellent source of traffic direct to your fantastic new website or advertising the product you have created or are an affiliate for. It can be used in a number of ways which is the very reason that it continues to be one of the most talked about but under-utilised business models.
