Not Everyone Does, Learn From the best The people that are succesful at online marketing are that way for a very good reason. They know what it takes to make it. Why would you want to start from scratch when you can utilise these people to get you to where you want to go. Beat the man to be the man in this context actually means copy the ones that are doing well, learn from them and find out what they are doing that you are not.
You may have heard the term “swipe file” before and if you do not know what this means then you need to read on. No doubt you have seen a sales page before, if you have been online for more than five minutes then you may have seen hundreds. I can tell you that the majority of these people did not sit down and write this page from scratch, if you were to study a few you will start to see similarities popping up all over them, so a swipe file is you copying what works.
I am not saying find a good sales page, copy it, and then use it to sell you product, this is not on. The idea of a swipe file is to use everything you can find that you know works, but to change it enough to make it unique. Do you think this article is unique? The answer is actually yes and no. These are my thoughts but the information has come from a long time working online and doing exactly what I am telling you to do now.
Depending on what your current business plan is, and if you don't have one you should, then obviously you need to be finding resources in your area. Are you focused on article marketing, is it e-mail marketing, or simply creating new products for sale. Each one of these areas has veterans that really know what it takes to make money.
What I suggest is that you should be doing a combination of some of these things, so you should be on the lookout for anything that appeals to you, not as an internet marketer but as a consumer. Did the latest sales page you read make you take action, then you can bet that you are not the only one that did. So see if you can work out just what it was that made you take action, and then use it.
One thing to make sure of, is that while looking and reading all of this information that you don't get sucked in and buy every new thing that you see, remember you are now doing it for research so you can be the one making money by getting people to buy your product or service. It will be a great compliment for you if down the track you start to see people copying your style, and again I dont condone exactly copying someones hard work, but when you see someone using your style you will really know that you have made it.
So get a swipe file started and really start seeing what is similar and if there is something different about them, is that what is making you take action.
